NOAH’S WISH LIST
The NOAH program (Needy or Alone and Hungry) serves a hot, nutritious, free meal every Sunday to every person who wishes to attend. No questions are asked. This program has operated for the past 30 years, and serves nearly 500 meals each month. During the COVID crisis, the NOAH program did not missed one Sunday of serving meals. Modifications were made so each participant took home two hot, nutritious meals. Meals are currently back to being held in person and are sit-down. Through our renovations to the One Church Street building, we want to serve our community with a new, larger, handicapped-accessible dining room and multi-purpose kitchen.

January 6, 2024 – We have some good news from the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York!!! NOAH has received a “Gratitude Grant” which has such a lovely sound to it, doesn’t it? Every dollar counts as we continue to nourish our neighbors in our community and at the Code Blue Shelter in Gloversville. With gratitude to our Director, Colleen Peck, and all our fab volunteers for cooking, cleaning and serving every single week!
October 16, 2023 – GREAT news! The Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) in New York State has awarded the Food Pantry $6500 and NOAH $600!! These funds can only be used to purchase food from the Regional Food Bank for our programs, which is a great help in these times of increasing prices AND increased need for food assistance. Woo hoo!!!
